smaller AndyAndy Grinnall – RiCORE Project manager. I am a Research Assistant in the Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University, and have worked on a variety of projects such as energy reduction in the meat and dairy industry and the creation of 3D visualisations from laser scans of Elgin High Street. For RiCORE I am drawing on experience from research projects and my previous career in IT to Project Manage the various elements of the project. I have a BSc in Chemistry and a MSc in Information and Library Studies.


Amar pic cropAmar NayakRiCORE Planning & data coordinator. I am a Research Assistant in Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University and in charge of Task 1.1 which include developing and monitoring the project management plan. Previously I have worked in other EU funded projects like eharbours and CARE North. In those project my role was to benchmark different energy strategies using MCDA/DEA and develop a carbon model for Aberdeen city. I am also a part time PhD student and my research topic is “Estimating consumption based CO2 emissions of UK Iron and steel sector”.

Prof-Peter-StrachanPeter Strachan – Professor Peter A. Strachan is the Strategy and Policy Group Lead within the Department of Management at RGU.




C-NixonCaroline Nixon – RiCORE Researcher. Caroline is a Lecturer in the Law School of the Aberdeen Business School at RGU.  She lectures in Environmental Law, Renewable Energy Issues and Environmental Aspects of Oil and Gas Law.  In her previous role as a consultant, she has worked on many EU-funded projects assessing transposition and implementation of the EU’s Environmental legislation for the European Commission, European Parliament, World Bank and other institutions.  She has designed and conducted training courses in EU Environmental Law for the European Investment Bank.   She has also conducted pro-bono research for WWF-UK  into the legislation governing hydraulic fracturing projects in England and Wales.

final lyndsayLyndsay BloiceRiCORE Communications coordinator and web developer. Lyndsay is a Research Assistant Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University. Although her research interests are largely situated within the information science and management disciplines, she has been involved in providing support for a wide range of research and academic activities across several departments in the university. Lyndsay has degrees in Journalism and Information and Library Studies. She is a doctoral researcher; her research focuses on Knowledge Management in the third sector.


Hayley RowlandsHayley LockerbieRiCORE Communications coordinator. Hayley is a research assistant in the Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University. Her research interests largely surround the use of information in various contexts, however she has recently been involved in research focusing on the oil and gas industry. Hayley has an MA in Historical Studies from the University of Glasgow and a MSc in Library and Information Studies from Robert Gordon University.
